Analytics & Attribution
Convertiko FAQ's most powerful feature is conversion attribution—tracking exactly how FAQs impact your sales.
Why This Matters
Most FAQ apps just show views. Convertiko proves ROI by tracking the complete journey:
FAQ Impression → Engagement → Add to Cart → PurchaseThis lets you see not just "people viewed FAQs" but "FAQs generated $X in revenue."

Understanding Attribution
How Attribution Works
- Visitor sees FAQ - An impression is recorded
- Visitor clicks a question - An engagement is recorded + attribution cookie set
- Visitor adds to cart - Cart event tracked
- Visitor purchases - Order attributed based on engagement timing
Attribution Windows
Revenue is attributed with different confidence levels based on timing:
| Timing | Attribution Rate | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Same session | 100% | Direct conversion |
| Within 24 hours | 75% | Very likely influenced |
| Within 7 days | 50% | Probably influenced |
| Beyond 7 days | 25% | Possibly influenced |
Time-Decay Model
This "time-decay" model recognizes that FAQs have the strongest influence on immediate purchases but still contribute to purchases made later.
Example
A customer:
- Views product page → FAQ impression recorded
- Clicks "What's the return policy?" → Engagement recorded
- Leaves site
- Returns next day and purchases $100 item
Attribution: $100 × 75% = $75 attributed revenue
Metrics Deep Dive
Impressions
An impression is counted when:
- The FAQ panel loads on a product page
- The product has active FAQ content
- The visitor scrolls to where the FAQ is visible
One impression per product page view per session.
Engagements
An engagement is counted when a visitor:
- Clicks on a question (desktop)
- Hovers on a question for 2+ seconds (if hover mode enabled)
- Scrolls through the carousel
- Expands an accordion item
Multiple engagements can occur per session, but only the first sets the attribution cookie.
Engagement Rate
Engagement Rate = (Engagements ÷ Impressions) × 100Benchmarks:
- Below 5%: Consider repositioning or improving questions
- 5-15%: Average performance
- Above 15%: Excellent engagement
Attributed Revenue
Total order value (or partial value based on attribution window) from orders where the customer previously engaged with FAQs.
ROI Multiplier
ROI = Attributed Revenue ÷ Subscription CostExample:
- Monthly subscription: $29
- Attributed revenue: $4,500
- ROI: 155x
